About the event
Healing in community.
Hey! Welcome to our online peer empowerment group dedicated to destigmatizing grief and shame associated with parental substance use. Join us in the virtual space to share your story, ask questions, share resources or tips, or listen in a non-judgmental environment.Â
We understand the emotions and isolation that come with growing up with the stress and stigma of a parent's substance use but are intentional to create a validating space where shared experiences and compassionate discussions can facilitate healing.
This session is co-facilitated by a peer who has personal experience with the grief of navigating a parent's mental health and substance use challenges and losing a parent to a toxic drug supply.Â
Who it's for:
This online support group is open to youth and young adults aged 18 and above who have experienced grief and/or shame related to a parent's substance use.
