Child Welfare Legal  Information &
CFS System Navigation Resources

Dealing with Child & Family Services (CFS) can feel overwhelming and stressful for parents. Legal information and guidance on CFS policies and processes can be difficult to find and understand. Our resources were designed with parents in mind, offering accessible information and expert tips using lived experience. Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to effectively navigate the complex child welfare system.

Peer  Support
&
Healing Empowerment Groups

The stigma and emotional burden associated with involvement in the child welfare system are frequently overlooked. Trauma, grief, and loss can leave individuals feeling isolated and alone. Our goal is to foster a supportive community where every parent is embraced, understood, and uplifted, ensuring that no one walks alone on their journey to healing and empowerment.

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge Moh’kinsstis, and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. We acknowledge all Nations – Indigenous and non – who live, work and play on this land, and who honour and celebrate this territory. Finally, we remain committed to continue to learn about the truth regarding Colonialism and residential schools in Canada, and will actively work towards reconciliation while advocating for our government to do so as well.
